Ryan is killing it!
(Though not literally!)
(& though no one but us would really know, that’s actually a taxidermy raccoon that’s being attacked by the stuffed turtle!)
It’s no secret that my husband is a taxidermist and I am so stoked to tell you guys that he has been featured in the brand new & amazing SMITH JOURNAL (brother mag to FRANKIE) that is out today (September 5th) in Australia and wherever you’re coolest newsstand is (you can also buy a copy HERE). We haven’t seen the spread yet but our favorite house guest/photographer/friend Cameron Smith photographed Ryan all over town (IE: see above, a found snake in the road after it got hit) and doing all kinds of crazy awesome shit in the shop and our house.
Anyhow, Ryan isn’t much for the internet but we decided to make him a tumblr because frankly, as far as we’ve seen, no taxidermist tumblrs (or blogs of this kind) exist ! & since so many people love and appreciate the work and art of his trade, we thought it would only be fair to share a few looks every couple days of what he’s up to in the shop (and occasionally other random shit he likes). There is a constant flow of different animals and customers in and out of the shop and he wows them all with his incredible talent at making these beautiful animals just as magnificent as they once were… but mounted. I am terribly proud of him and can’t even explain how amazed I am at him everyday with every new thing that comes off his table. Anyhow, enjoy THE TAXIDERMIST & pick up a copy of SMITH JOURNAL today!
The Equipment bug hasn’t bit me until now. Really love this new striped sophie blouse.

and how could I be completely smitten with this amazing striped dress from DEVASTEE?
Would it be too much if I paired any of these with this bitchin’ Free People striped column skirt??!!
