hell bent for leather

I know I tend to only post things black and leather but that’s what I’m really into and what I’ve been wearing for the better part of 27 years. I’ve been favoring some different sort of stuff lately, maybe it’s my heritage catching up with me but it wouldn’t bother me one bit to throw on this whole outfit. While my first instinct would be to pull on black leather leggings beneath the dress, I suppose these grey cable knit tights (since we’re ruling black out of the equation) would work (second thought, no on the cable knit but yes on the color) for a monochrome grey look worn with my Repetto’s. So there you go. My pretty pretty girly outfit consisting of: Burberry Prosum fox fur coat / Alaia skater dress / Repetto pony hair zizi’s /Juicy Couture cable knit tights / Celine bag

Yes, my day dream world lets me also throw in this sick Celine bag, photographed by the wonderful Susie Bubble at the Philo’s showroom. Not normally one to go labels out, the reflective gold of this bag just kills me it’s so good.

Finally found my scanner cords again so I was able to scan this sick article in from the April 1992 issue of Iron Horse Magazine. Really stoked on this 1968 Triumph owned by Dimitri Turin. Dimitri used to be a partner over at Sixth Street Specials with Hugh Mackie, the shop who more recently fixed up my friend Jamie’s ’68 Triumph after he was practically fucking run over on his bike down in Brooklyn. Needless to say I’m pretty into this bike and figured you’d all be into it too, especially a few dudes I know like Jamie & Neil.

Interesting sidenote: it was a bummer to hear that two years after this article was printed, Dimitri od’d.

Ksubi denim & leather jacket
-I totally gasped when I saw this a few days ago. Would it be practical to buy a denim & leather jacket right as summer is setting in? Not really but fuck practicality– this is my dream jacket, from my favorite brand and nothing beats this. Digging the backwards buttoning as well..

-Keeping a journal or to do list or place for me to write shit to remember because of my incredibly bad memory in this guy has never looked so good. Pretty sure I could keep it going for quite a long time too, use up every bit of space, get every dollars worth.

Kiki DeMontparnasse leather leggings + leather bra
-Have you seen these leggings in person? They are just beyond. Beyond perfectly cut, beyond amazingly soft, just total and complete perfection. I can’t think of a better pair of these out there besides my AD’s but they seem like different categories really, Kiki’s are really more like pants. As for the bra, it’s fairly obvious why I’ve had my eye on it (and the pants, for several months each) cause it’s just plain sick. I actually already have a leather bra (surprise), some old bike week castoff found in a thrift store that was free for me but something tells me this Kiki bra would be worn 1000% more often and that the leather is way softer. Under an Obesity & Speed tank would be ideal..

JJ lookin totally fuckin’ shredding in the best photo I’ve ever seen, naturally shot by the incredible Hanna Liden for the latest Purple. Big thanks to Kurt for the photo, I’m still tracking down the issue I just found the issue! If it were up to me, she’d be the only one allowed to get that LV foxtail because she was obviously the one who inspired it in the first place. Side note: the long purple tail that’s been stuck on my bag for something like 2+ years now isn’t going anywhere now that they’re showing up in droves all over the fucking place. Mine will still be there when the trend is over.

If all income wasn’t aimed at this fuckin ‘supermodel of a bike‘ right now, I can say I’d probably be tempted to swipe up this Demeulemeester mongolian fur jacket on ebay right now. I’m fairly sure I was oohing and aahing at its long lost purple cousin some time ago but goddamn how I’d like to be all wrapped up in this one.

Really no words to describe just how sick this coat is, the photos just sort of speak for themselves. So 70′s R’N'R, I picture this with my AD leather leggings and some old black tee and getting all kinds of high on a hotel couch with Robert Plant at 16 (oh man, that’s a good daydream if there ever was one). If you’ve got a spare $2945 laying around or want to give a really great offer, I’d say lets be friends so I can come try your new jacket on for the night. Interesting side note: the bike and the jacket are nearly the same price!

communication breakdown

You guys know that purple is one of my main obsessions so when I clicked on over to my current fav read Maya’s Agenda and saw that she had just stopped in at Palais de Tokyo… I spotted this miniature purple patch in one of the photos (top photo, bottom left) and got majorly jealous. For those that don’t know, Andre’s shop Black Block operates out of the Palais and since I am pretty into his body of work, I adore them stocking all of his projects. Anyway, if for some reason one of you are bro enough to drop in to the Palais and pick this purple patch up for me, well, I will be more than happy to send over the cash as well as many many thanks and whatever else gets this thing in my hands.
