Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw is taking Tavi’s spot as the new cover face of POP. The covers were shot by Richard Prince, who if you don’t know this already, has a really great set of photos titled “Girlfriends” which are basically all super trashy chicks on motorcycles (we’ve posted several, if not all of the photos on Sex Savages on Wheels). Abbey definitely looks trashy but the thing I’m having a really hard time understanding, is why they used just the frame of a bike and not an actual, running bike with motor. Yeah, I’m sure they had no plans on her actually riding the thing but the lack of motor on the bike kind of kills it for me.
With all that said, I’m stoked to see the new issue (even though I think Tavi told me all the good bits about meeting Rei already!!!). POP, both covers above, hits newsstands this Monday.

eh…yes… a bit strange not to have a proper bike in it. Is it meant to be funny? somehow don’t think so. She looks hot though.

haha god. i love abbey lee and trashy motorcycle everything, but those gratuitous slow-motion wind-blowing-through-teased-blonde-locks porny-face shots are a bit much.
