There aren’t enough descriptive words for just HOW COMPLETELY AMAZING Katie Gallagher’s show was today. While Odyn Vovk was by far the best menswear, Katie beats EVERYONE by pulling off the most fucking phenomenal collection EVER. I’ve been stoked on her for a while and was ecstatic for what she’d be showing for S/S 10.
We arrived a little early at the Tribeca Grand to have a couple drinks before the whole thing began and to our surprise they were shooting the girls in their full looks all around the hotel so we got a few sneak peeks at some of the looks and I just KNEW the rest was going to blow me away.
Katie Gallagher represents exactly why I love fashion. Everything about this show was insanely perfect: the setup, the location, the music, the styling, the accessories, THE DETAILS and especially the most wondrous collection of clothing I’ve ever seen from one designer in one season. Like Austin, she is right up there with Ann Demeulemeester for me as a total and complete favorite.
I could really go on for days and days about why I loved this collection so much but I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves.
A few things of note: the zippered shorts were THE stand out piece. Everyone taking photos focused on the model in these shorts and when I saw her being shot in this look before the show started I knew already this was going to be a crowd fav.
There was also a zippered pant as well, just as incredible.
Another complete and total STAND OUT for me was this bag one of the models was carrying. The chains, the material and the zippers just turned this into the most covetable accessory EVER for me and I’m not even hugely into bags but this one, this is perfection at its best.
Keep your eyes peeled for Katie Gallagher, she is going to be so fucking huge and I couldn’t be happier about it.
