Two of my favorite photos right now in two favorite landscapey situations in similar gear.
Dash in Muse Mag S/S 09 (which I’m still trying to find a fuckin’ copy of.. anyone?) & Russh July/August.

I look at most of the men’s collection with my husband. We go through them two looks at a time like ‘which would you wear?’ and then I pull the best ones he picked and post ‘em up here. He doesn’t like anything baggy and has just as much of a love for leather as I do. Anyone that knows him or has hung out with us knows he is and can be constantly found shirtless with just his leather moto jacket on (which is so fuckin’ hot) but so the shirtless situation happening on the runway was very his style. Of course I’ve been waiting in anticipation for this collection and once again Ann manages to out-do absolutely everyone for S/S 10.

Obviously because she is so rarely photographed, I love catching the end of the show when Ann comes out, if just to see what she’s wearing! Always amazing….
Alice Dellal and her boyfriend Ross Tanner running all around in the French countryside for Jalouse’s Juin issue… I think everyone wants to have this shoot with their old man.. I really love it.. Olympia Le Tan’s customized Wrangler ‘Sweet Jane’ jacket is also pretty much the best thing ever.. Scanned the whole thing in as I just got it in the mail the other & knew everyone would love it.. I’m doing you all a favor right now by letting you in on the chance of pre-ordering of Max G Morton’s new book, Looking For The Magic. It ships next week & there are only 400 copies. I’ve written about Max in the past, on here several times and an article for Street Carnage. He is one of my favorite writers + friends in existence and I mean it with all my heart that you need to buy this NOW. Max’s books sell out, and sell out fast and once you have this in your hands you’re going to be kicking yourself for missing all his other novels. For those of you too lazy to click over, I’m posting the brief synopsis here. Get into it.
Max Morton is a guru of the murderous American underbelly, and Looking For the Magic is a gem-encrusted sarcophagus of epic memoir, adventure, violence, magic, loss, and a journey to the four American corners. Morton’s words have yet to fail the hungry global tribe of whom he speaks, and they never will.
An eleven-chapter arena of unwell living. Foreword by Boyd Rice, collages by Dominick Fernow. Magic‘s aura is still black, but it shows tomorrow’s colors as the search grows. From the pre-teen kicks of the suburban karate circuit, straight down to the attempted murder of Tiny Tim, back up again at Coney Island High, to a realm of balance in a Park Avenue brothel. Let a teenage klansman, an autistic weatherman, a crackbaby Count, Peggy Moffitt and Polly Magoo of the mainlining set, a sheriff with invisible handcuffs, a Santa Monica painted nightcat and a girl named Kitten be your guide through the second block of the Apocalypse Junkyard.

This is what I’m talking about…. Ryan from THECAST.. I mean, maybe I’m biased because Ryan & I are bros but this just further drives home the fact that Pete’s street styley blog is the only one worth checking out.

Random pieces I’ve found lately (besides the boots which I’m still obsessing over from F/W) that would all work together fuckin perfectly. Despite already having a black and blue striped Proenza Schouler longsleeve shirt, I’d grab this one for sure. The scarf is goat fur and Miu Miu and is totally killing me right now. The leggings are suede Demeulemeester and the boots are, of course, Proenza. Throw on my leather over this and I’d wear it for a few months straight non-stop.

Kinda old photo from Winter of our jackets (well, 2 of like 30) on the back of the bedroom door but with the fucked up weather lately it’s making me wish even more that we can get back to cold and jacket times again. Anyway, we’re planning a road trip right now with my fav person on earth Lyz (and her friend Nicola! Hi Nicola!) and we’re all soooo stoked. I feel like a kid saying, like ‘this is gonna be the best summer ever!’ but this will totally make it the most brutally ruling birthday month (July) ever and I hope whatever car they rent will have the coldest A/C EVER.

This is my full denim vest and backpatch setup (it’s changed a little now since I took this for one of my Street Carnage posts in December and have since gained a few extra Motorhead badges and the rad as fuck patch Itsumi sent me). That’s a Pushead Septic Death patch I’ve been wearing a long, long time in case you were wondering (and the rest of the patches are: the name of our girl gang [have to make new ones for new inductees], Severed Head of State [on the pocket] and Detestation on the lower back.)

I remember hearing about this collab between Daphne Guinness & CDG like forever ago but am so excited to see it’s finally happening. 5000 50ml bottles. $140. September release. I’ve been using Black Orchid for forever so it’ll be nice to see if the scent makes me want to change it up.

You remember Katie Grand in this, right? Here’s the previous post I wrote but I feel it’s my duty to post the photos again because of how incredible she looks (and so I can see the coat over and over again).

MUST.FIND.IN-STORE.TO.TRY.ON.IMMEDIATELY!
Just wow.

I’ve been obsessed with finding this style helmet for forever. I’m fairly sure if I was to track down the exact one I wanted that it’d cost me a little too much. If I really wanted to drop all kinds of cash on a helmet I’d go with the old standby Ruby, of who Cass & I are both obsessed with (with good reason).. but paying between $600-$900+ for a helmet just seems illogical especially with it’s main purpose being to eventually (but hopefully never) save your head from being smashed in.

They do have some nice ones though, I mean, the Pavillon Bastille glitter purple helmet just kind of screams “JEN! TAKE ME HOME!” Shit.

Anyway, thanks to Jamie, I now know the proper name for a kind of cleaned up version of the one I’ve spent forever obsessing over and at $50 is probably a hell of a lot cheaper than a vintage one. It’s a German style chrome novelty helmet to be exact. Now I’m 100% sure I see these around at bike shops all the time but I don’t think I’ve found one that fits my small skull yet. Talking about ‘learning the name’ is embarrassing considering this should have been an easy one to figure out had I just asked my husband or anyone else I know but OK whatever.

What lead me to this discovery was that I was reading this old post Jamie wrote about pulling up on his bike to pump gas when these Hasidic bikers all pull up on silly sport bikes and are asking him all kinds of questions about his completely beautiful 1968 Triumph (crush-wise, it’s right up there with Neil’s).

So one guy asks if the bike still runs.. as Jamie is standing there, helmet still on and hose in hand. He was nicer than I’d be by saying ‘Sure, runs great. Today.’ What Jamie pointed out next was that one of the guys had on an old chrome WWII German style helmet, written in detail and complete with link to one and everything. Making it really easy for me to figure out this was the one.
We pass about 20 bike shops a day so next time I think we’ll have to further investiage this and find one that fits perfectly. You know, unless the Ruby one just falls into my lap somehow. (I’ve totally lost myself in that one now even after writing how illogical the price is. I want both.)

I’ve been watching this bike take shape on Neil’s blog for a while now and was happy to see these new photos posted of it with lots of progress. Cannot wait to see this one finished!

I mean, seriously, are you seeing that rear fender? Fucking so good! I already have a total crush on his Triumph and I think once this is finished I’m gonna be swooning all over the place.
