I’m totally destroying my eyes trying to read this article (and the interview of you) off my computer screen, but it’s worth it. I’m dying to see that horse video projection, what a beautiful idea.
Reminds me of one of my favorite films also projected into mist, Line Describing a Cone by Anthony McCall.

got the issues last night. for free. hum. and loooaaads of other mags and books, nearly ripped my arm off carrying them. also my bag was filled with free champgane bottles and lingerie so all and all i was a donkey!

I met Banks at his Brooklyn studio a year or so ago for a tour. There was metal blasting while he talked about an upcoming show. He was incredibly articulate and personable. I love the way his work fuses his love of metal music with mysticism, and murder stories. Banks the artist is as mysterious and attractive as his work. It was one of the best studio visits I have ever experienced.
yeah but once you get to know him he is a total scumbag.
