Never been so stoked to see someone on The Selby!!! My friends Lyz and Josh from Obesity & Speed just moved but Todd caught up with them beforehand to shoot their place. Love love love it all. I am happy to report though that their new apartment has both windows and room for a couch and is already looking as killer as ever.

This was going to be an ebay picks post but I realized with my favs that I made a seriously rad outfit. If I wore a size 7 shoe and had a spare couple hundred dollars to drop on this shirt, I’d have this outfit on faster than you can imagine. If you’re interested…. I really love these boots and have thought of every reasonable and unreasonable way I could buy them and somehow wear them but I don’t think I’ll get my 9.5 foot into ‘em. If you buy them you have to tell me!
Found this coat today for our friends daughter Izzy Wolf but once we tried it on Nico we sorta realized how much we liked it on her instead! Sorry Cass + Jason but you can’t deny how cute she looks!
I bought the jeans and they’re really not that bad and actually kind of awesome in person. I wore them yesterday with black leather 4Q Vans, black Ksubi Mozart shirt, black 4Q hoodie and my black leather moto jacket (you also cannot miss my Wang bag in my lap). I was going to wear my other new score but thought it’d be a little too much. What am I referring to?
Oh just the RAD white leather moto jacket I landed myself on Wednesday from this craze Flea Market. As I tried it on, my husband noticed a really nice black leather one and when we asked the guy the price, he said $10 for the white, $15 for the black. TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS FOR TWO AWESOME LEATHER JACKETS??? OK SURE, HERE’S THE CASH, THANKS! But yeah it’s gotta be the best buy everrrr. At the same place we then ran into so many other epic jackets, boots and antlers/taxidermy that we had to get out of there quick or we’d surely spend all our money. I was really stoked on the jacket but wasn’t really sold on the fringe outlining the arms and back.
Once we were home later that night I was trying the jacket on and decided the fringe needed to go, so I grabbed my straight razor and cut every piece off. I have the pile of it heaped on my desk right now and am sure I can think of something to do with it. I think the jacket looks a million times better now though but just a little too much worn with the new jeans.
Literally 10 minutes after leaving the house today I scored these boots. My husband actually found them when he was looking at boots and wow! Holy shit they are the softest things ever! I was saying last night how I wanted to find a pair that aren’t as stiff as most cowboy boots are and don’t you know I must have jinxed myself or something cause here they were and in my goddamn size. The best part is they’re not all bulky and I slipped them right on under my Ksubi jeans. Love love love these boots.

I think I want to buy this Billabong wetsuit hood just to wear with my leather jackets all the time.
The best part about finding these two great images in one day (besides the loadsssssss of other stuff that fills up these great mags) is that I never buy magazines anymore. They just seemed to be getting less and less exciting to me but my standby’s I’ve mentioned before (Paris Vogue, FOAM, Jalouse & Purple) will never fail to make me smile and renew my faith in all things incredible.
(so these last two aren’t at the beach but they look like they could have been!)
Vava Ribeiro is one of my favorite photographers who is also a surfer and frequently stages his shoots on the beach. He did this editorial for Black Book several years ago that remains one of my absolute favorites to this day, unfortunately I can’t locate it anywhere online so these shots (the 4) will have to do until I can properly scan it! Surfing in jeans has never looked so good as through Ribeiro’s lens.
Of course these polaroids from the RTX ‘Knightmare & Mane’ video shoot (see below) are some of the most killer of them all, as far as beach shots go..
…and the video itself just embodies nearly everything I’m into and so how can’t you love it?
Anyway, we’ve been meaning to do some rad beach shooting with all our leather and things and now that my husband got his camera situation all sorted out I think we’ll have to hit the backyard (aka our beach) for some shots. In the meantime though, maybe expect a few of my own here and there.
I fucked up and let these slip by me on ebay. They’re circa 1976-83, they say LADY VANS on them and they were only $25. Oh man. Just too good. I think I’ll have to ask the dude to relist them.

Yeah, so, even though I put in a bit of time fixing up my husbands black denim jacket he let me cut up into a vest for myself, I am feeling it really bad for this RVCA jacket. EXTRA LONG SLEEVES is something I love to hear and I mean, you really can’t beat a perfectly cut black denim jacket especially when it’s only $88 ! I don’t think I’ll be cutting the sleeves off this one! I also already know the two pins that are going on there right when I get it, one starts with M, the other starts with A & D. Good luck guessing what my two favorite things on earth are.
So yeah I’ve been a little busy but regarding the menswear shows I wrote a post for Street Carnage the other day on the good & bad styles . Ann Demeulemeester was obviously my personal favorite and my husband was into most of the looks as well. I think we’re due a stop into Barney’s once this all lands there to see him in it all head to toe. For fun of course, he’d never be into spending that kinda cash on clothes for himself. Just for his wife. Ha ha ha. Anyway, I also covered that epic shoot of Jethro Lazenby Cave by Hedi Slimane for SC and don’t you know Jethro walked in Ann’s show and his goddamn Dad Nick Cave produced all the music for it. I mean, I can never say enough good things about Ann but she just keeps wow’ing me left and right over and over and over again.
