but he’s stuck in drab again

Alex Wang marble silk tank / Tripp NYC splatter jeans
Kind of really digging this black and white look right now. I know I’ve seen other pieces I liked but can’t find them for the life of me. The worst part of this is how obsessed I am with those jeans and how much I wish they weren’t fucking ripped in the knees! It’s well known that I can’t stand purchasing pre-ripped anything but whatthefuck ? My husband suggested I patch them up and I could probably sew them like I do when my own jeans tear (usually the crotch is the first spot to go and I’ve mastered the perfect stitch to fix that issue) but I just know there’s got to be some way to fix this pair. There has to be. Getting them for nearly half of their original price may make them worth picking up also just to see what I can do, right? There’s got to be a way..

i LOVE both, and I think they should be worn together at the same time even though you’d probably think thats crazy right? I don’t know sort of cool in a weird way. I think you should definitely get them even though they are ripped come on! I know it feels annoying but still..
Ah the trousers are lush, what a good eye you have! I agree about the rips though, not sure what I think of the whole rips thing so far. If they did the vest top in a print more like that of the trousers…

Ji I am definitely buying them. These two together would be amazinggg.
Hey Jen,
just spotted the UO blog post you did about us, we really appreciate it! Especially since your blog is an absolute favourite of ours!

Helena you got it! I love your stuff so much.
those pants would be super easy to DIY, just buy a pair of their black jeans in your size and do it with bleach or white paint! And I agree, they’d look ILL worn together
I don’t mind the fact that they’re pre ripped actually, maybe because they also have other stuff going on. This kind of reminds me of the men’s Jil Sander marbled stuff.
this is some kind of modern fashion statement, putting them back together. like erasing the de kooning drawing, but in reverse.
Found your blog through Kristin’s, and glad I did! Good stuff here.
Love the jeans..constellations for the legs. Good luck stitching up the pre-rips.
Yeah I’ll see what happens. I know DIY would be easy but for $20 I’ll save myself the time and effort. If I can’t fix them I will have to come to terms with owning pre-ripped jeans and be OK with it.
Fash Herald: I love that comment so much.
Rumi: Yes! Constellations is the perfect description. I have a Ksubi shirt that may need to be paired up here as well now that you mention it..
hey where did you find the A. Wang tank? i cant find a link on ur post anywhere and i NEEEED IT.
[...] brand to really win me over as far as really digging the pre-ripped style (I’ve hardly worn the jeans I got a few months ago). Anyway, I’m wildly stoked I found these but am completely bummed [...]
