if you were sleeping that night you’d be happy in the morning

I love Fafi. She makes me want to dye my hair purple (again), wear blush and party dresses non-stop and never be without a bottle of champagne (which isn’t rare for me anyway). I loved these girls she tagged up on this fence in NYC but I couldn’t believe that city officials disliked it so much that they made her freshly painted girls disappear so harshly by removing the fucking fence ok so Gavin pointed out that someone probably lifted the fence themselves and while Fafi herself did say it was a theif, I figured it was the city but according to Gavin “someone heard about Banksy theives and figured a Fafi might be worth something too.” Which has got to be true considering how many of you said you’d have stolen the piece yourselves.

Wow, that is pretty harsh removal indeed. And I don’t get the logic - the tags (which I personally find utterly boring) stay, the colorful artwork goes?

yeah Fafi’s been in my top taggers from since the day i started following the art. she makes a girl feel remarkably “trashy-glitz”, in every possible positive sense of that phrase… i love it. shame about this piece but i’m gonna stick with hoping that someone stole it to adorn their bare walls. i would.

great last couple posts hun. capturing every i desire, naturally. x

If officials had the fence removed because of FaFi’s artwork, then they’re eedjits! They should have removed the fence while it was still covered with graffiti!

I know there was a secret Banksy show in New York recently. . . did you go? (So much for the secret, eh?) Fafi is amazing because her drawings are girly and whimsical without being cheesy and ridiculous. Although I sort of silently sighed when I saw the Mac window displays, I was also really happy for her. We all have to get paid :)
