It might have something to do with my bouts of French Nationalism but I have always been in love with Paris in the 60’s (ok, not only in the 60’s but let me make a point), more specifically the rioting and disrupt youth (and R’N'R of course but lets not get off topic again). Channeling such a feeling to something you might have hanging in your closet seems like it’d be difficult to pull off but Sonia Rykiel kind of did with this new Paris 1968 sweater dress. Of course, no one will get that you’re wearing it to show your pride and obsession of this time + place and there will always be girls dressed exactly the way NAP have styled it , who’d have no idea what happened in Paris in 1968 but who cares. I’ll always adore Sonia’s major dose of the color purple in all her garments but this may be a perfect DIY project for those of us who don’t see the necessity of dropping $430 for it. I’m not a sweater dress kind of girl anyway.

OMG! Love that dress.
But if it said “New York 1967″ it would be even better. That would be the WendyB birth year dress.
