Happy Bastillle Day! One has nothing to with the other but how AMAZING does Daphne look in Alexander McQueen in the August issue of Vanity Fair? I’ve always just read my Mom’s subscription to the mag but this month I may pick it up for myself, if only for the accompanying article that is sure to be quite good, judging by the foreword on the VF website..
She has never had a look, never once, never remotely, that was anyone’s but her very own. And now she’s making things (a shirt collection and a fragrance for Comme des Garçons) and selling things (a recent auction of her couture pieces raised more than a quarter of a million dollars for a women’s charity). But if you ever find yourself sitting next to Daphne on a late-night bus, in a soup kitchen, or in the waiting room at a tattoo parlor, for God’s sake, don’t talk about fashion. She can’t bear it. She doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about.
I already knew about the CDG fragrance and can’t wait to get a whiff of it. Daphne has said she mixes her perfumes on a daily basis (often wearing 3 at a time) and this could very well be a departure from my daily dose of Tom Ford Black Orchid. By the way, speaking of McQueen, he’s now added an online shop to his website, which I’m sure everyone’s wallets are flying out of their bags for. I just wish the full McQ line was also available online!
The sequin leggings would look smashing on Susie (with a possible Robot Blk Seq returning) & I’m sure they’ll be all kinds of AA knockoffs to come. Also, I’m not completely sure why every bag I ever like is somehow referred to as "BIKER" but this leather shoulder bag would fit nicely over mine while riding. I’d also be more than happy to run this wonderful peacoat or borrow the Men’s bomber jacket or asymmetrical cardigan. I wish there was more womens clothing available but I’m sure they’ll pop up over time. This is a very welcome addition to the website nonetheless.

Congrats on the mention in Elle so deserved! ;D Btw, you said you had a chanel is it lambskin as well? Do they hold up well? I have a tendency to throw my bags around a little, and I fear that it will look ratty after a year and with the current prices at Chanel..it would be an awful shame.

Your posting frenzy over the weekend is fantastic but alas dodgy wireless connection means I’ll just comment here and say…yes I will find a means of getting those bloody leggings…and that Daphne shot is amazing!
