high in the city and you’re looking so pretty

I’ve been completely loving Daphne’s recent looks (what else is new?), all looking quite the same but differing in designers Chanel & Alexander McQueen. I think part of why I really enjoy Daphne’s style is that she’s not afraid to repeat wearing something, which just seems so unnatural. Like for example, she is wearing the same style McQueen dress (above) in two different colors at two different events. Again, here she is (below) wearing Chanel couture that earlier this year she could be found in at the Valentino book party, sans Alaïa belt. It’s obvious she has favorites in her wardrobe just like anyone with nowhere near as much to pick from and it really just makes me like her even more. (BTW, As for her shoes, which I know Elizabeth is obsessed with, she has them tailor made.)

Additionally, I received a few e-mails asking why I hadn’t mentioned anything about Daphne’s film “The Phenomenology of Body,” and I have to say it’s because I’ve been so busy but it is amazing, I assure you. Daphne as Marie Antoinette is beyond incredible and you can watch it in its entirety over at The Moment . I also quite like noting that the amazing model/skateboarder/epic woman Shelly Zander (who some of you may know as Marc Jacob’s fit model & some time muse) and husband Brody Baker produced this short with Daphne and I can only wait to see what they do next. STARWORKS has a great interview with Guinness in regards to the film and you must head over and read it now.

Up next for Daphne is a 24 page spread in Italian Vogue this September where she will be wearing the latest and greatest Couture designs straight from Paris. This will be included in a Couture supplement which you’ll find Daphne on the cover of. I can’t wait.
